Training, learning and development are central to the continued success and long-term sustainability of Quanta Fabricom, who have created an environment where engagement with staff and contractors is encouraged.
We participate in engineering focussed activities which has seen STEM ambassadors from the company visiting local schools and colleges helping run training sessions, assemblies and awareness events.
This week Quanta welcomes Daniel Ridley as an Intern for 3 months. Daniel is currently studying for an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University and is looking to gain experience in solid mechanisms, thermo fluids and computers in engineering analysis.
Daniel’s brother Andre (a year 12 student at Consett Academy) will also be joining the company for a week’s work experience in July where he will be given hands on industry experienced specifically designed to give him a broad understanding of working within an engineering design practice.
HR and Business Administration Manager Linda Meikle said “Quanta Fabricom provides innovative skills and development experience from our highly experienced workforce, leading the next generation of talent in the UK’s energy industry. By giving dedicated time and commitment to local students, we can ensure we provide a vital contribution to the industry”.
